Wayfield Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children entrusted to our care. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility: all Staff, Governors and Volunteers should play their full part in keeping children safe. At Wayfield Primary School all Staff, Governors and Volunteers feel confident that they can report all matters of safeguarding children in the school where the information will be dealt with swiftly and securely, following the correct procedures with safety and well-being of the children in mind at all times.

Smoothwall- Filtering and Monitoring
All iPads at Wayfield Primary School are protected by Smoothwall who provide real time content filtering and monitoring to protects all users. It blocks inappropriate content whilst allowing productive and safe online experiences by categorising web content based on its context and construction. Additionally, Smoothwall tracks online activity to identify potential risks, such as searching for unsafe content or communicating with strangers. The Safeguarding team at Wayfield receive an immediate alert if any questionable activity occurs allowing them to take action to keep all pupils safe.
When iPads are used at home, Smoothwall continues to monitor usage but it is the responsibility of the parents/ carers to ensure that electronic devices are used appropriately.
