Physical Education at Wayfield is taught through a deep and enriching curriculum which is enhanced by our specialist teachers. We believe that our children deserve an enhanced physical curriculum through their three lessons a week. We are proud of our links with APD/HW Soccer Skills and AMG Dance who team teach alongside our teachers to give the children of Wayfield an in-depth physical education. All children are included and participate in lessons supporting our school values by allowing all our children to find joy in their physical activities whilst building resilience through individual and team tasks. Throughout their lessons, all children at Wayfield have regular opportunities to learn how to manage the demands of complex situations that arise in game-based activities. We believe in working with our children to support them in learning how to win and lose in different scenarios and how this supports their own personal growth. Exposing children to a range of different sports, during both lessons and extra-curricular opportunities, allows them to discover individual passions and promotes courage through memorable, practical experiences.
